CHAPTER ONE · 2011 · THE SOUTH SIDE

It started with 52 tickets.
And a very Pittsburgh idea.

Shop 412 × Lee Terbosic · The debut of 52 Up Close

October 14, 2011 · Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

A sold-out beginning.

On a Friday night on Pittsburgh’s South Side, Lee Terbosic and Shop 412 brought a new idea to life: a party built around close-up magic, creative collaboration and a deck of playing cards.

The first 52 tickets sold out. Demand doubled the audience, and 52 Up Close had its first unforgettable night.

The first 52 ticket buyers received a limited-edition 52 Up Close × Shop 412 deck of cards. A run of just 52 collaborative T-shirts was also released and sold out.

DJ Scottro, DJ Nugget and DJ Pete Butta supplied the soundtrack. Pittsburgh music legend Donnie Iris introduced Lee. The show’s story began with the city, its artists and an audience ready to be amazed.
